Home Programs AmeriCorps*VISTA

The Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) project began in 1965 as a part of the AmeriCorps program. Since then, over 140,000 Americans have given their time to help communities around the nation. These members work in and with low-income communities to respond to the needs of the individual communities. Projects have included improving education, housing, and health care as well as strengthening community organizations and nonprofit organizations in the area.
